  ~ ~ ~ ~ Important notice about lodging ~ ~ ~ ~

We have just learned that due to the gas drilling operations going on in the area, at least one local hotel (The Sonestown County Inn) has cancelled all previously made reservations in order to accommodate the workers seeking long term lodging.  Although we have no control over such, we sincerely apologize to anyone affected by this decision.  We are working with other hotels in order to find additional options for our shooters to persue.  The hotels at the Bloomsburg/Buckhorn exit of I-80 (intersection of State Route 42 and I-80) have advised us that they have 20 to 40 rooms available as of today, January 17, 2010.  The club is 25 miles north of this intersection and just a few miles off of Route 42.  The names of these hotels have been added to our confirmation and can also be found on the general information page of our website.

As in past years, we will also provide overnight gun cart storage in our clubhouse on Friday and Saturday night so that our shooters do not have to worry about leaving their guns and carts unattended in their vehicles or in their hotel room.  Our club and surroundings offer the best of rural Pennsylvania.  Unfortunately, with the pleasure of the spectacular mountainous surroundings and the peaceful atmosphere of our little cowboy town, comes the lack of the amenities found in the more urban areas.  Losing just one of these quaint country inns creates a major inconvenience for all of us.  In addition to seeking information from more hotels, we are prepared to bring in more sanitary conveniences at our range in order to accommodate the possibility of more campers.  Pleasing our shooters with a quality match is the easy part of hosting this event; trying to resolve these added lodging issues is much more difficult.

Your attendance is important to us and we will do all we can to make this event a pleasant experience for you.  Please feel free to contact us if you have trouble finding lodging and we will try to assist you.
