2006 underwear shoot

Now if yer lookin' fer fun, and I mean good old western rootin tootin shoot em up fun, then cowboy action shooting is for you. You'll find the nicest folks here always willin' to give ya a helping hand to get ya started, along with a little kidding and laughter to help ya on the way.

Our monthly cowboy shoots are always on the 4th Sunday of the month. Registration starts at 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM. Mandatory safety meeting at 9:35 and the shootin' starts at 10:00 AM. Our shooting schedual is at the bottom of this page.

We shoot 6 stages to give ya lots of action for the day. A hearty cowboy lunch can be bought at our cowboy clubhouse.

SASS (Single Action Shooting Society) rules apply.

El Posse Grande Range rules: These rules are in addition to the official SASS rules used by El Posse Grande.

The use of recorded audio,video,or still photography cannot be used to make or challenge the call of match officials.

Pistol ammo must be between 650 fps and 1000 fps, rifle ammo must be between 650 fps and 1400 fps. Shot shells must be shot size 7 1/2 or smaller.

Double Entry club rule
You may sign up and shoot twice now if you wish.
Pay for a double entry which would be $20.00
You must sign up in two different styles of shooting.
Pick two out of the following three.
1) Two Handed--traditional style in a catagory which uses the two handed hold.
2) One Handed-- Duelist in a duelist catagory
3)One pistol in each hand--Gunfighter--Must be shot the way it was originally intended with two pistols draw out any time the pistols are shot back to back in a 10 shot string.
Your first entry will be towards the front of the posse and your second entry will be towards the end of your posse.
You will be expected to help with any posse duties asked of you by the RO.

Free Camping anywhere up top by the main lodge.Sorry, we don't have electric or water hook ups for campers. Please do not camp in the parking lots, we need the room for general parking.

Please, vendor parking only inside the cowboy gate,please keep all motorized vehicles outside the gate, this includes atv's and golf carts unless you have a medical condition that requiers them in order for you to attend and participate in our shoots. Please get approval first from Loose Gun before bringing a motorized cart. We want to keep the shooting area looking as much " Cowboy" as we can.

Each Saturday before the shoot, Loose Gun will be setting up targets between 10:00AM and 4:00PM. If anyone would like to try cowboy action shooting before a match, he will have his guns with him and will show you what we do in this fun sport on stage one.He will also have all the SASS safety rules we play by if you want a copy.

Anyone who helps set up or work for at least three hours the day before a monthly shoot gets to shoot for half price as a token of our appreciation.

May 24th: Set up for state match, 8:00AM to 5:00PM
May 24th: 5:00PM RO1 Course- please tell Loose Gun if you're coming so he can make up books.

May 25th- 26th-27th,SASS Pa. State Championship.Must pre register
